Baseball~Fall 2010

Okay readers...I'm going to be real HONEST here...are you ready??

I DREADED the day we (our family of 4) had to start any kind of sports. Not because I don't like sports (although, I'm really not a sports fan)...but, because I DREADED the amount of TIME such things take up...

I know...sounds a little SELFISH doesn't it. I didn't want to start the whole "sports thing" until the boys REALLY wanted to do it.

Well, that time has come...Cade started asking to play baseball and/or football. We intended on signing only Cade up for baseball, and then Drew wanted to play, too...so, there you have it...full fledge, baby!

And so our time of "sports" has begun, and to my SURPRISE...I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! Even though we had something to do EVERY night of the wekk, we adjusted. If we weren't at practice, we were at a game, and if we weren't at one of the two, we were at church!

Cade played coach pitch and Drew played T-ball...they both made leaps and bounds in a matter of one month.

I tried to include several videos of them in action, but again, I couldn't get it to work.

So, you will have to settle for pictures.

***All pictures (EXCEPT for the first picture) included in this post were taken with my iphone, so the quality is not exactly stellar.***

We spent some time at the batting cages~Mike had to show them how it's done!

Drew was lucky enough to get to play on Cade's team quiet a bit by being a fill-in...although a little small, he held his own!

I no longer DREAD the "sports thing"! Sometimes, anticipation is the worst. When you actually get in there and get your feet wet, you often find out it's not so bad!

Amy, We are officially being ruled by our kids schedule, too. It is inevitable for everyone...I guess. I dreaded it too (and sometimes still do secretly....like when dinners done and we are out the door) BUT it is so fun to see the kids excel and have fun! It is a proud moment for sure!
Enjoy the time with your cute "babies"!!!
