I'm married to my high school sweetheart...we started our journey at the tender age of 15 and 16. He was the quarterback of the football team, and I was his cheerleader! He even taught me how to drive my first car (it was a standard). In the early months of 1996, our relationship was taken to a new level...we were now not only "boyfriend and girlfriend", but became brother and sister in Chirst by obeying THE GOSPEL!
Continuing our journey together, we were engaged in 1998. Mike was taking college courses to pursue his career in firefighting, while I was attending HBU for a degree in Elmentary Education. In 2000, Mike was hired on at HFD, I graduated from college, and we got married!
A year-and-a-half after getting married, and much to our surprise, we found out we were going to have a baby! On October 18, 2002, we were blessed with, Cade Michael Maple. Twenty-seven months later, on January 28, 2005, we were given our second beautiful boy, Drew Colton Maple.
Here we are now, an unbelievable 19 years later, and blessed beyond belief!! I give ALL the glory to GOD...without HIM, we CERTAINLY would not be where we are today!
Spending time together as a family is important to us. Mike and I share a love for working out and "eating to live", not "living to eat" (although the latter used to be MY philosophy! You can read about my "transformation" here.) We ran a 1/2 marathon together in December of 2009 in Las Vegas, and truly enjoyed it! Our boys enjoy playing baseball in the Spring. Our oldest also plays football in the Fall.
I teach Pre-K in a private, Christian preschool. Mike is an Engineer Operator for Houston Fire Department, and owns a lawn and landscape business. Cade is in 3rd Grade and Drew is in 1st Grade.

My hobbies include: photography (I have a small business, Get a Glimpse Creations), shopping, decorating our home, cute blogs, fitness, and occasionally reading. In no certain order...I tend to go through phases!!
