Our family spent a couple of days in Galveston to celebrate Independence Day. We had a great time, even though it rained quite a bit on Friday, July 4th. We did make it to the beach before the rain came. In some of the pictures you can see the dark clouds rolling in. We had an ample amount of firework shows to choose from...there were fireworks going off all over Sea Isle. The kids loved sitting out on the top deck watching the fireworks
EXPLODE in the sky!
Saturday, July 5th proved to be a better day weather wise. Another trip to the beach with overcast skies left us all a little red. We ended the day with a water balloon fight :).

Cade enjoying the SALTY beach water...

Drew and his cousin Blaine worked hard digging in the sand w/ their shovels...

Cade was a little nervous about the boat ride. Uncle Ricky made things all better...hence, the thumbs up!

Drew and Daddy building castles in the sand...

Introducing MERMAID. Amie (my sis) and Mike (my husband), both very ARTISTIC, created this
HOTT looking mermaid (haha...her face is rather scary looking). We all pitched in when it came to her details.

Ginger and Bella got to play in the SALTY beach water as well...

Drew on the boat...not sure what the "tongue" thing was for???

Drew exerting some energy while playing on the beach...

Here you can see those
DARK,
SCARY clouds approaching. I
adore this picture of Mike and Drew!

How did you spend Independence Day?
