ME & My BOYS! I love the fact that I can be at home w/ my boys...well, at least on days like these! When the kids are playing in the backyard, I like to leave the door open (or cracked if it is hot outside), so that i can hear them. The other day while I was sitting at the computer (with the back door open), I turned to check on Drew and found him so content. He had brought some dirt from the yard and dumped it on the concrete right outside our back door and was driving his little trucks through it. I don't know why I thought it was just the sweetest thing. I soaked up the moment pondering things such as, "What was going through his mind?" and "How good he was being even though Cade was gone to school and Daddy gone to work." It is moments like these I treasure...just being ABLE to SEE my boys play and enjoy themselves.
Cade got 2 StarWars Lego sets for his birthday...Daddy usually helps Cade put them together b/c there are a million and one little pieces that have to be put together properly in order to get the right result. Well, as I stated earlier, Mike was at the firestation and Cade didn't want to wait. So, he decided to use the "descriptions" (Cade's way of saying 'instructions') to put the lego set together himself. He did a great job! And I loved the fact that he called the "instructions" "DESCRIPTIONS!" Oh, and Cade lost 2 teeth the 2 days after he turned 6!
